QT Dispersion As A Predictor of Coronary Slow Flow in Patients with Stable Coronary Artery Disease: A Clinical Tool for An Invasively Diagnosed Entity

نویسندگان

چکیده

QT dispersion is the interval between longest (QTmax) as well shortest (QTmin) recorded on a surface 12-lead electrocardiogram. It has predictive value for ventricular arrhythmias including patients with ischemic heart diseases well. Coronary slow flow been always an ambiguous entity scale of disease. The coronary may add non-invasive tool identification these patients.

Coronary artery calcium (CAC) score – a prognostic tool in coronary artery disease?

Introduction: The aim of this study was to evaluate the impact of measurement of coronary artery calcification score (CAC) in patients with suspected coronary artery disease (CAD) and a normal myocardial perfusion scan. Methods: In a prospective study we measured the calcium score of 74 patients (29 m, 45 f, mean age 58.7 (m) and 64.4 (f)) with suspicion of CAD and a normal perfusion scan. In ...

Evaluation of Electrocardiogram Changes in Patients with Slow Coronary Flow

Background: Slow coronary flow (SCF) is defined as a condition in which in spite of no evidence of coronary occlusion or stenosis in angiography, there is delayed pacification of the vessels after the injection of a contrast agent. There are several studies about electrocardiogram (ECG) changes in these patients, but changes like OLD MI, RBBB, LBBB, LVH and ST-T wave have not b...

Qt Dispersion in Patients with Coronary Artery Disease

Background: QT dispersion is the difference between the longest and the shortest QT intervals as measured from the 12 lead standard ECG. It reflects ventricular repolarisation heterogeneity which may lead to ventricular arrhythmias in certain cases. Myocardial ischemia plays a central role in the pathophysiology of prolonged QT dispersion leading to re-entrant type ventricular arrhythmias. Curr...

Effect of coronary artery bypass on QT dispersion

Introduction: QT dispersion (QT Max – QT min) reflects inhomogeneous ventricular depolarization that may provide a substrate for serious arrythmias and is associated with adverse clinical outcomes in patients with coronary artery disease. Some studies have shown reduction in QT dispersion after successful angioplasty due to coronary reperfusion, but effect of coronary artery bypass grafting o...

Evaluation of iron status in patients with coronary artery disease

Background: Iron can causes lipid peroxidation in vivo and in vitro. Iron  promotes myocardial injury in experimental animals. Low Density Lipoprotein (LDL) oxidation by oxidants including iron have a central role in atherosclerotic process. By this means, evaluation of serum iron in patients with coronary artery disease (CAD) has a significant importance. Materials and Methods: In this cross s...
